Pendleton Blankets of Style, Size, Color and Pattern
We have Pendleton blankets made from great artists. Pendleton carries blankets that are called "robe", and the robe is a preferred size of the Native Americans. The Natives use them for ceremonial purposes and wrapping about oneself as a robe.
First produced in the 1920's, the Chief Joseph blanket is one of the oldest on-going blankets made by Pendleton Woolen Mills. The blanket pattern celebrates the heroism of the NW great Nez Perce Leader, Chief Joseph.
The role of blankets is woven deep within the history of the Native Americans. For years they have been used for warmth, comfort and ceremony. For years the Natives brought us patterns and designs with beliefs and legends. Today Pendleton works very tight with the Natives to create high quality blankets with loyality and respect. Pendleton carries different collections, which we don't have all of, but they are very unique in their own way and style.
We also carry scrap pieces of Pendleton to be used for costumes, vests, and other things.
