Southwest Connection to Fly on the Wall:

If you are familiar with Tony Hillerman you know he has written a series of mystery novels set in the Southwest and featuring Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee, Navajo Tribal Police Officers and super sleuths. These are great books with likable, but conflicted, main characters and intriguing mystery plots. They give enjoyable insight into the Navajo people, land, customs, society and culture. But that's not all. Before Hillerman wrote most of the Leaphorn and Chee books he wrote The Fly on the Wall also a mystery set in the Southwest.
